| Little Grebe, locally known as "Gakit", sprints on the water surface by flapping its wings and moving its feet. As you can see, it seems enjoying the calmness of the water that it moves graciously as ever. This very rare specie of birds is found only in Lake Danao, San Francisco, Cebu. It has a unique characteristic of swimming underwater for a considerable period of time to catch its prey of fish, winged but can't fly high. |
